PLATFORM RULES

Terms of Service

These draft terms explain the rules for using Rent A Bodyguard. Read them before creating an account, posting a request or making a proposal.

Pre-launch notice: This page is a product draft for local review, not a final legal agreement. Before public launch, the operator’s legal name and address, effective date, governing law, dispute forum, privacy notice, consumer disclosures and any country-specific terms must be completed and reviewed for the countries the service targets.

1. The service and eligibility

Rent A Bodyguard provides an online marketplace intended to help clients find protection professionals, security providers and training providers. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, the platform is not the client’s security provider, employer, agent, insurer, licensing authority or guarantor. Users must be at least 18 and legally able to enter an agreement. Use the service only where it is lawful for you and the other party.

2. Accounts and verification

Provide accurate, current information and submit only genuine identity, company, CV, license and course evidence that you are authorized to share. Keep login details secure and tell us if an account may be compromised. We may ask for more evidence, delay publication or reject an account. A platform review is a screening step; it is not a guarantee that a person, document, license, company, course or service is authentic, suitable, current or safe.

3. Marketplace responsibilities

Clients and providers are responsible for checking identity, licenses, insurance, references, local requirements, scope, dates, price, travel and safety arrangements before agreeing. Providers must hold the permissions required for the services and locations they offer. Users must not request or provide unlawful protection, surveillance, weapons, intimidation or other services that violate applicable law. Any service agreement is between the participating users unless a separate contract clearly states otherwise.

4. Prohibited conduct and content

You may not post, send, request, promote or facilitate:

  • Insults, abuse, threats, harassment, stalking, bullying, hate speech, discrimination, sexual harassment, exploitation, or sexual content involving minors.
  • Fake identities, impersonation, forged CVs, false licenses, fabricated company or course claims, misleading assignments, or manipulated evidence.
  • Fraud, phishing, scams, spam, deceptive advertising, payment diversion, or attempts to evade account review, moderation or platform safeguards.
  • Gambling, betting, casino promotion, gambling links, or requests to arrange gambling-related services.
  • Illegal services or transactions, unlawful weapons activity, violence, or disclosure of another person’s private or sensitive information without authorization.
  • Attempts to bypass agreed platform payment or contact controls, or to use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Do not publish personal email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, payment credentials, wallet details or other sensitive contact information in public content. Do not send money outside an enabled, clearly disclosed payment flow.

5. Reports, moderation and account action

Use the report controls on a profile, course, request or chat message, or submit a general abuse report through our abuse reporting form. Reports are private and reviewed by administrators. Include the relevant page or message and a factual explanation; do not include unnecessary sensitive information. Chat is delivered to its participants without advance human approval. We may preserve relevant records, remove or restrict content, return an account to review, limit marketplace access or permanently ban an account when warranted. We may also act on reports, safety risks, legal requirements or reasonable evidence of a breach. Reports are not an emergency service; contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.

We review reports in light of the available information. A report does not guarantee removal or a particular outcome. Users may contact the moderation team through the same reporting form to ask for review of an account action; provide the account email and decision details, but never send passwords or identity documents by email or chat.

6. Memberships, fees and payments

The launch version does not collect membership fees, service payments or deposits, and does not hold or transfer funds. Clients may browse approved profiles for free and start up to five new provider conversations per UTC day; existing conversations remain open. Premium buyer membership is planned to provide unlimited new contacts, with prices and billing disabled until checkout is ready. Free provider accounts are limited to five proposals per UTC calendar month; Pro is planned to provide unlimited proposals for individual professionals and security companies. Membership billing is disabled at launch. After a proposal is accepted, the client and provider arrange scope, service and payment directly. The platform does not provide escrow, refunds or payment dispute handling.

7. Reviews, availability and changes

Reviews must describe a genuine completed engagement and must not contain abuse, private information or fabricated claims. We may review, delay or remove content under these terms. We may update or suspend parts of the service. Material changes to these terms should be published with an updated effective date before they apply to future use.

8. Limits and applicable rights

The marketplace is provided as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise continuous availability or guarantee a user’s conduct, credentials, service outcome or safety. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Applicable mandatory consumer, privacy, safety and platform rules continue to apply based on the service, users and locations involved, regardless of where a server is hosted.

9. Contact and governing terms

The operator’s legal identity, official notice address, governing law and dispute process must be completed in the final launch terms. Until then, this document is a review draft and should not be presented as the complete binding agreement for a live marketplace.
